Bodega Bay is a Wartime Drama set in 1940 and scenes will be filmed right behind Aaran Guesthouse this July. Weymouth Harbour is one of the prettiest in the UK (top 12 according to Sailing World) and has been featured in several adverts and factual films (e.g. “Confused.com”). Incidentally, Bodega Bay in California was used in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “The Birds”, shot in 1963. Here in Weymouth, you do not have to travel that far to see plenty of (more friendly) birds (We have two local RSPB Reserves¬†at Radipole Lake and The Swannery).

We would like to take this opportunity to advise our guests that parking restrictions will apply during the week of filming but the Council is looking to make suitable alternative arrangements. We can advise you when you arrive.
